Re: Fallout Role Play?
Alright, let me dig out my old plot of Vault 113. This was supposed to take place in Washington D.C., but that location could easily be changed.
Plot:
Not all of the vaults were meant to save humanity. Did you know that? Of all 122 vaults, only about eight of them were supposed to work correctly and save the people within. The rest were experiments. Horrible things happened in some vaults, from simply having little food to having drugs pumping into the air. The eight “control” vaults were spread across America, and all opened as scheduled and helped repopulate the planet. Vault 113, however, was not a control vault. No, this was one of the worst vaults. It was to see how long people could live if half the vault was populated by criminals and mental asylum patients. Most people would not move into a vault with those people inside, but it was assured that they were simply there because they had paid to get in, and would be under heavy lockdown.
This was a lie.
A few years after the bombs fell in 2077, the door locking mechanism on these vault security cells released, and these madmen were released unto the vault. Without anyone wondering why, the armory was also located close to the holding cells, and as the holding cells opened, so did the armory.
Scientists for Vault-Tech designed the locks to fail in 2080. They predicted that the criminals and mental patients would kill all of the normal citizens within a few days, and then war would break out between them slowly. The vault was supposed to be completely destroyed by 2082.
But this was not to be.
One brave man, Jonathon Lucas, the head of the security team for vault 113, fought his way to the armory and brought back, with several men enough weapons for the citizens to hold out.
In that way, the vault split. The criminal half and the citizen half were on either side of the vault, with similar weapons and defenses, there has been a war within vault 113 for one hundred ninety three years. Since then, both sides have survived, breeding for more soldiers, and the war has been a stalemate for all the years. The citizens have been trying to get past the criminals for all the years to the Vault 113 entrance to escape without avail, and the criminals, with no scientist on their side, are unable to open the vault door, and so this vault remained, stuck in a war the was seemingly endless, with an enemy that had as much of a place to go as you.
